When I first realized my passion for photography, I was repulsed at the idea of photographing people. In the past two years of owning my DSLR, I have learned to love portrait photography. I am still finding my own aesthetic when capturing people, but I am now more comfortable taking portraits rather than nature stills.
The only problem of being a portrait photographer is that I’m always behind the camera; I never get pictures of myself. I need to work on being more assertive when asking someone to take my picture. Okay, moving on.
I’m looking for some work to build a portfolio; I would love to go out and try new scenery with new people! If you would like to work with me either in late December or sometime in January 2016, contact me! I have so many ideas for shoots that I’m just waiting to try out! Some of them include a winter wonderland, a bohemian Free People-esque lookbook, downtown coffee shop portraits, beach babes, forest couple shoots and more! I’d love to work with you if you’re interested! Find me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or contact me here.
Here’s some of my favorite shots over the last few months:
My body of work is small, but growing, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to learn and explore through photography.
After this week of finals, I’m back home and ready to get to work!
