Andie: Sutro Baths Portrait Session

The world of photography can be intimidating. Every person has their own unique style, so finding your own signature can come as a challenge. That’s why it is so important to constantly create, grow, and surround yourself with like-minded people to encourage you in that growth.

This past Wednesday, @Hinfluencercollective held an instameet at Sutro Baths in San Francisco. Many talented photographers and models met up to network and do what we all love to do: take photos. In the early afternoon, I met with Alan and Andie, both of them wonderful photographers. Honestly, I was nervous to meet them as they were both complete strangers to me but I quickly learned that I had nothing to fear. They were both extremely kind and super cool to hang out with during the drive. After strolling around Haight Street for an hour, we headed towards Sutro Baths at Point Lobos. I had been wanting to go there for years and it was just as amazing as I had always imagined.

I didn’t shoot as much as everyone else probably did. Being at my first meet, I sat back and observed all of these different people with different visions doing what they all love to do. I left feeling incredibly inspired and the next time I go to a meet, I will definitely be more confident in pulling models aside. Although this meet was mostly observation, I did get to take some pictures of the wonderful Andie Fitzgerald. She’s such a natural in front of the camera and a talent behind the camera as well. Hopefully, one day, I could have the chance to take pictures of her again. The golden tones and mid-sunset light pulled everything in so beautifully. Definitely one of my favorite sessions to date.
