If you read my goals for 2017, then you know one of them is to do a shoot every month. My first shoot for the year took place mid-January, set in the forests of Lake Tahoe! After following him for awhile, Tavio announced a last-minute road trip on his Instagram and I (luckily!) got to tag along. I brought my friend Paige to model for us and after an early morning, we were off! During the day, we explored snow covered docks, ate a warm lunch at Fat Cat, and pulled over too many times to count.
I’ve been wanting to do a winter shoot ever since early November and I couldn’t be happier with the result! I must admit, I was extremely unprepared; I didn’t pack the right shoes and I didn’t bring any mittens. But it was super fun getting to know another creative from Sacramento! Living where I do has endless benefits: an hour south from the mountains and an hour north from the city. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go back to Tahoe for some shoots this summer. After a great start to the year, I checked this January session off of my list.
