Happy Fri-yay! Another day, another week, and I’m very ready for this weekend. Hopefully I’ll get to spend time with my family before spending Sunday in San Francisco! On most of my days off, I’m usually relaxing (in bed) and catching up on editing, emails, inspiration, and my favorite Netflix binges, among other things. But as much as I love laying around doing nothing, I’m the kind of girl who can’t stay in one place for too long. Even walking around downtown is more satisfying to me than being at home all day. I plan to keep busy for the next few days; so, in the meantime, here are my most loved links from around the web lately:
- This list of the top 5 Instagram vintage rug sellers. If you’re an interior design junkie or you just admire pretty rugs on Instagram, check this out. I honestly don’t know why I found this fascinating, but at least now I know where to get vintage rugs!
- Photographer David Talley penned a letter to millennial photographers that tugged at the core of my creative being. As a millennial photographer myself, David’s words really resonated with some of the things I had been hearing/thinking about. I saw a quote that read something along the lines of “if you weren’t posting for someone to see, would you still be doing it?”. Photography is being taken over by social media/content creation, but I hope it remains as creating beautiful, emotional images. If you’re a millennial photographer or a industry veteran, this letter is a great read.
- I’d only briefly heard of the benefits of apple cider vinegar when I stumbled upon this apple cider vinegar drink that’s great for fighting colds. I’ve also heard that a shot of organic ACV helps to improve overall complexion (goodbye blemishes!).
- A little art project called The Tokyoiter where illustrators and “drawing freaks” create magazine covers. This blog post describes the project much better than I could. But I love love love how these artists celebrate Japanese culture.
- This seaside wedding gown portrait session.
- One of my favorite beauty brands, Glossier, released a new luxurious face cream!! Deeper hydration takes the form of their already popular priming moisturizer; this one’s at a great price that I can’t wait to get my hands on.
- This week of outfits.
- My new favorite online shopping addiction: Lisa Says Gah.
- A couple of days ago, I told my mom that I had this sudden desire to take a trip to Nashville one day. I never thought I would ever want to visit Nashville, or any city like it, but this stunning Airbnb might have sealed the deal.
- I hadn’t heard this song in a long time, but listening to it recently brought tears to my eyes. He wrote it after the birth of his daughter and it. is. powerful.
Nashville is also on my travel list! I’d never considered it until recently too! Hope you get to go!
