Way back at the end of June, my friend Jessica and I spontaneously decided to take a trip to Lake Tahoe for a session. For a few months, I wanted to do a couple session to add to my ‘portfolio‘. I always love scrolling through couple/engagement sessions on the internet and this trip gave me the chance to try out photography a new subject!
I have known Colin and Jess since high school; they were/are two of my dearest friends. Jess is currently going to school for design and photography! She wanted to visit Kiva Beach for their session, a beautiful shore right under the mountainside. Before we headed to the beach, we stopped at Rainbow Bridge by Donner Lake. Our day consisted of catching up, eating Taco Bell and seeing Lake Tahoe in all of its beauty.
This was my first ‘real’ couples session and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I can’t wait to practice and learn more about shooting with couples. Also, can we talk about these locations?! So beautiful!
I have more sessions to share from this summer, but not before I send them off to clients (whoops!). If you are interested in booking a session, contact me!
These are some breathtaking photos! My favorite would be the 4th photo. I love how the clouds, mountains, sea, and forest are captured in one photo, with the two people staring at those beautiful works of nature.
