You are not seeing double: Mary has appeared on the blog before! I photographed a maternity session for her in exchange for a hand painted logo (which I still use today!). A lot of time has gone by since then: Nora is almost two and their second daughter, Mabel, is due anyday! For the majority of this year, DJ has been in boot camp; plus, as soon as Mabel is born, they are moving to Washington. One day while at work, Mary came in to browse around and I offered to help shoot content for her blog before she moves away.
We met at the Mill in Sacramento, with Jessica from Oak + Ash tagging along, and wandered around taking pictures! It’s funny that I have photographed her while she was pregnant with Nora and now with Mabel. It’s been so fun getting to know Mary over the last few years and I was honored that she let me capture this stage of her life for her. DJ came home recently and I’m so happy that their little family is finally together again. You can see more of the images on Mary’s blog here and here.
