Surprisingly enough, I had never done an engagement session until Justine reached out to me for her engagement photos. As an old friend from high school, I also photographed her sister’s senior portraits! (I will get around to posting some highlights from those as well!) Although we hadn’t spoken in awhile, I feel so honored that she asked me to do this for her. I will say, considering this is my first engagement session, I am pretty proud of the end result!
We met midday at the LA Arboretum in Arcadia and I must admit, I was nervous! I never visited the location, but Justine and Joey were so full of love that my nerves eased immediately. I practically swooned when I saw the photos from the bamboo forest! The location itself seemed unreal; wild peacocks roamed the grounds unattended! Also, I love that there were different environments around the gardens. We walked through the cacti gardens, the greenhouses, the fountains, and other trails around the grounds! I could only imagine what it would be like at the peak of springtime!
