May 2018 Playlist

May Playlist 2018 | SarahMichiko.com

Yeah, Taylor Swift has made an appearance on one of my playlists. May was just a weird month, probably the weirdest. Not that it matters, but sorry for taking so long to get this post up. First of all, it’s mid (late) June and I have too many ideas for my own good. I became slightly lazy with writing and blogging with the start of summer. As a result, my journal lays empty with a month-and-a-half’s worth of entries and I feel overwhelmed just looking at it. Planning and saving for my trip to Paris and Greece (eeep!) consumed in ways I can’t describe. But I know that it will work out in the end. Anyway, here are some memories that will forever be attached to my May playlist:

  • New music from Lord Huron + Two Door Cinema Club (what a throwback!)
  • The finale song from Taylor Swift’s reputation stadium tour, which I attended thanks to spontaneous decisions and a desperate best friend with free tickets (despite the fact I can’t stand her, it was a great concert)
  • Freddie Mercury’s biopic Bohemian Rhapsody finally has a trailer with music cut so well that it sent me down a rabbit hole of Queen’s best hits (cue Somebody to Love)
  • Songs from the playlist at work that I’ve heard a million times
  • A Phoenix track that has become my song for the summer
  • Showing my John Mayer-obsessed best friend John Mayer’s new song and seeing her stunned reaction to his new groove
  • Falling in love with the band, The Japanese House
