Remember when I shot a lookbook for my friends’ vintage fashion shop three years ago? (Woah, three years ago…). Well, we came back for round two, baby! Instead of the previous lookbook’s cozy fall vibes, this spring lookbook is all about fun colored, bright patterned vintage goodness! We recruited our dear friends, Lorena and Hanh, to model for us. The set? Literally a white sheet thrown over a tree branch and pinned to itself in the middle of a public park. This was my first “just-for-fun” shoot in a long time, especially since it was a time where the pandemic had started to slow down and we were able to meet outside, masks and all. Drafting up this post, this shoot feels so far in the past, even though it was only back in February. Time does that, I guess. Distance, too.
I hope I get to do a similar shoot to this here in New York City, but I know it wouldn’t be the same. There’s a certain comfortability we had during this shoot, mostly because we all are former-coworkers-turned-friends. This entire session was so fun and pushed me creatively!
